Welcome
I am a professional artist working in South Devon. Much of my work is of landscape and seascape paintings of the beautiful countryside of South Devon in a variety of media. I work mainly out of doors in order to capture accurately the light and colour of the countryside and coast of South Devon: I also do portraits.
I also carry out commissions and welcome your enquiries about your specific requirements.
Earlier in 2011 I was appointed official War Artist for the Royal Marines, as a result of which I worked in Afghanistan for five weeks. During this time I produced detailed sketch books to record the operations of the marines in Camp Bastion, Task Force Headquarters in Lashkagar and out in the forward operational bases and checkpoints. You can view some of the paintings from this tour in the portfolio pages of my web site. Some of my military work is on display at the Plymouth City Library showing the work and lives of men and women from 3 Commando Brigade on their most recent tour of Helmand Province in Afghanistan: Monday 30 January to Wednesday 8 February 2012.
